Located on 72,000-acre Clarks Hill Lake near Augusta, this park is known as one of the finest bass fishing spots in the nation. During the summer, guests can cool down at the beach or on miles of shaded nature trails. A wildlife observation area is available. The park has 10 fully equipped cottages on the lake, five of which are log cabins. The campground is situated on a peninsula, offering spectacular views of both sunset and sunrise over the open water. A one-room camper cabin faces the lake, offering a porch with rocking chairs, electricity, four bed platforms, a grill, picnic table and water spigot.

Get Outdoors Georgia Volunteer Orientation & Training

Mistletoe could manage without volunteers, but it wouldn't be able to offer the same services without assistance from people like you. Why not become a part of our park family as a volunteer in 2010? Come to the orientation to see where you fit in...  Lunch will be provided at no cost. 706-541-0321.
Get Outdoors Georgia Go Fly A Kite
Saturday, Mar 13, 2010 2 PM to 4 PM
Take advantage of the March winds to let your creativity soar! In this workshop you'll build and decorate your own kite. From kids to grandparents, all ages are welcome. Bring your own decorations or use ours.  $2 supply fee. $5 parking. 706-541-0321.
Get Outdoors Georgia Star Gazing
Monday, Apr 5, 2010 7:30 PM to 10 PM
After an introduction to astronomy, observe the evening skies through telescopes, followed by hot chocolate provided by Friends of Mistletoe State Park. If it is overcast skies, the program will be rescheduled for April 6 or 7.  Donations to Friends of Mistletoe State Park welcome. $5 parking. 706-541-0321.
Get Outdoors Georgia Murder Mystery Weekend
Friday, Apr 16, 2010 until Saturday, Apr 17, 2010 6 PM to 4 PM
Following dinner and ghost stories around the campfire, our sleuths will scout the "Haunted Trail." But the mystery they encounter will include more than ghosts, and they're in for the most surprising revelation ever!  $39 plus $5 parking. 706-868-0120.
